Dale Wiersbe began his career with Inland Steel in 1970. He was named president of Inland Steel Bar Co. in 1993 and two years later given responsibility for all of the Indiana Harbor Works integrated steelmaking and hot-rolling operations. He was promoted to senior vice president of operations for Inland Steel Flat Products Co. in December 1995 and named president and chief operating officer of Inland Steel Co. in May 1996. In April 1998 Wiersbe was named president and chief executive officer of Ispat Inland. Wiersbe retired in 2000 and along with his wife, Beth, is currently fulfilling a life-long dream in residential design and development.
