Jan. 20 is the deadline to register for a course offered at Purdue University Calumet to prepare engineers and engineering students for the upcoming Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) professional engineering licensure exam.
The course begins Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. and features weekly, three-hour exam review sessions each Wednesday through April 11. The course is designed to prepare participants for the April 14 FE exam scheduled in Indianapolis.
Subsequently, the next FE exam is offered in October.
Passing the FE exam is required to obtain Professional Engineer licensure. Past classes of participants enrolled in the Purdue Calumet-offered prep course have enjoyed a 100 percent FE exam pass rate.
Experienced Purdue Calumet engineering faculty members teach the course, comprehensively focusing on all exam topics.
The course is open to senior undergraduate engineering students and other individuals with an ABET/EMAC-accredited engineering degree. Course cost is $450 for Purdue Calumet engineering students and $900 for others. The FE exam cost is $125 and is not included in the course cost.
Registration and other information about the course and the FE exam can be obtained at http://webs.purduecal.edu/aoct/traditional-instruction/exam-preps-and-reviews/fundamentals-of-engineering-exam-review/, by phoning 219/989-2986, or by e-mailing
